Each track must be accepted to qualify for this offer.

* Standard CMJ insertion rates are $1,500 for insertion of a flyer and $1,750 for anything larger (CDs, 7"s etc.)

For $1,550 you'll receive:

  • One 3:30 minute track on this mixed color vinyl compilation

  • A 1" x 1" full color image of your album art on the back of the albums jacket along with the artists name, song title and label name

  • Every jacket will contain a coupon allowing the recipient a free download of the record, including your song!

The fine print: Each track is being offered in 3:30 second increments. Each track must be accepted to qualify for this offer. The order of the songs will be loosely based on a first come first served basis but will be adjusted to best fit the fluidity of the record and the space constraints of each side. You CAN NOT select where your song is placed on the compilation. Test pressings will be internally inspected by the URP Quality Control staff but will not be available to participants due to the large number of participants. One track is considered 3 1/2 minutes. Anything over that will be sold in 30 second increments at $225 each. Source materials, order forms (available here), copyright compliance forms (available here) and payment in full must be received by September 1st, 2008. All audio submissions are subject to content review by United's copyright compliance department. Proof of licensing may be requested for any submissions containing samples or cover songs. In the event that submissions are greater than the amount of space available on a record we will chose based on first come first served or possibly make the record a double LP. You will be notified by September 8th as to the status of your inclussion in the project. If for whatever reason the project is cancelled, your money will be refunded in full. All payments must be made in the form of money order or credit card. A 5% surcharge will be assessed for credit card orders. These prices include all costs associated with this project, sequencing, lacquer mastering, plating, the vinyl, the labels, custom jackets, shipping to CMJ and insertion into the CMJ bags. All submissions must be mailed in on a CD, preferably with the desired track as the only song on the CD. In the event that multiple songs are on the CD make sure that the track you want included is clearly marked. The artists name and the song title should also appear on the CD and case spelled out in the way you'd like it to appear. This package is valid while space is available and in the event that for whatever reason this compilation doesn't happen you will be issued a full refund.

The D.I.Y. CMJ 7" Special
